PREPARATION OF A NANOCOMPOSITE FROM BLACK PHOSPHORUS AND POLYANILINE PROVIDES ACCESS TO VARIOUS POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS

The Materials Chemistry Group of the Department of Chemistry/UFPR, led by Prof. Aldo Zarbin, recently published his second paper in Scientific Reports, an open-access journal from the Nature Publishing Group.

The work, which is authored by the PhD student Jéssica Eliza Silva Fonsaca and the professors Sérgio Humberto Domingues (former PPGQ student), Elisa Souza Orth and Aldo José Gorgatti Zarbin, proposes a simple method to obtain transparent thin films of a black phosphorus nanocomposite with polyaniline. The combination avoids the rapid deterioration of black phosphorus, which tends to hamper its use in various technological applications.
