Master’s and Doctoral Program in Philosophy

Our doctoral and master’s programs

The objective of our program is to provide a high-level academic training, enabling students to research and to work, through a philosophical discussion of the themes and theoretical problems related to the lines of research described below. Our researchers work guided by the perspective of deepening the process of consolidating and expanding the horizons of teaching and researching. It is also intended that our research center is recognized for the production of knowledge and for quality academic research.

Research lines

• Ethics and Politics: Investigations on ethical and political thinking, the relations between ethics and politics and the nature of its normative principles.
• History of Philosophy: Studies on the History of Philosophy in its various periods, privileging the approach of themes and relevant authors for the understanding of its time throughout the historical constitution of the philosophical tradition.
• Metaphysics and Epistemology: Examination of themes, authors and central concepts of traditional Metaphysics and Epistemology, as well as their most recent retakes, under the guard of the current denominations of contemporary philosophy.
