As of 1999, with the expansion of the master’s course and the creation of the doctorate, the PPGQ/UFPR began to cover the four major areas of concentration in Chemistry, covered in the lines of research listed below. It should be noted that several of these lines are multidisciplinary and therefore involve researchers (faculty and students) from more than one area of ​​concentration of the Program.

Development of catalytic systems and physical-chemical elucidation of processes using kinetic models.

Preparation of self-assembled systems from macromolecules and study of their interfacial interactions. Rheological properties of polymers.
